William Carey Heritage
Foundation Mission
In 1792, William Carey was called by God to bring
the Gospel to the “heathen people” of India and today
he is known as “the Father of Modern Missions”.
The mission of the William Carey Heritage Foundation (WCHF) is to uphold and revitalize the vision and ethos of William Carey and the founders of Serampore College for the purpose of building, strengthening and expanding Christian leadership to serve all aspects of Indian society.
The grand objective of the Institution was and is; “the promotion of the belief in Jesus Christ’s Divinity and Atonement” which Carey deemed “essential to vital Christianity.”
WCHF - Serampore Partnership
The partnership objectives are to raise funds, to sustain, strengthen and develop the life and work of Serampore College in general, with special emphasis on theological education.
The focus of these objectives is in the following areas; facilities, human resource development and curriculum.
Progress Report
Since March 2003, the William Carey Heritage Foundation, a non-profit organization, has undertaken and completed the first phase of the WCHF-Serampore agreement projects.
