Progress Report
Since March 2003, the William Carey Heritage Foundation, a non-profit organization, has undertaken and completed the following Serampore agreement projects.
1. WCHF has provided over 13,000 books to the Serampore College Theological Library
2. Painted and repaired the exteriors of the main campus buildings
3. Provided scholarship assistance for faculty enrichment
4. Is supplying monthly salary stipends for Theological Seminary faculty
5. WCHF has supplied computer workstations and software for Serampore College
6. Commissioned design and feasibility studies for the new Theological Library and communications center called the William Carey Communications Center (WCCC)
7. Actively engaged in fund raising and marketing activities for this WCCC project including but not limited to a HD Film DVD project called Serampore for the 21st Century (see the short version on this site)
8. WCHF has invested significantly in research and campus visits in USA for theological curriculum development to be used as a new distance learning program to be contextualized and administered from Serampore
9. Recently listed the WCCC Building Project on an exclusive India ministry funding donor profile.
To date these and other activities have laid the ground work for the next phase of the partnership activities. You are welcome to participate in funding Serampore projects.
